A group of homeowners from residential red zones in Christchurch will on Tuesday present a Parliamentary petition calling for justice for people still dealing with insurance and land problems.
The Quake Outcasts group will present the petition to Christchurch East MP Lianne Dalziel outside the Wainoni Avonside Community Trust and Wainoni Methodist Church.
Group spokesperson David Millar says many people are worse off because of the red-zoning, which he says is contrary to the original intended purpose of the Government's policy.
Mr Millar hopes the petition will highlight the intentional or unintentional disregard of homeowners' property rights.
