A meeting space is being created for international students in central Christchurch as the city tries to regrow its education market.
Tertiary Education Minister Steven Joyce on Wednesday launched a marketing brand called Christchurch Educated and a set of initiatives aimed at attracting foreign fee-paying students to the city's universities, polytechnics, private providers and high schools.
Mr Joyce says international student numbers dropped by 37% following the region's big earthquakes.
A common meeting place will established in the central city for the foreign students to gather and to give out information and advice.
