New Zealand has won five medals - two in athletics and three in boxing - on day nine of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Eliza McCartney, who was favoured to win a Commonwealth gold medal in the pole vault had to settle for silver.
McCartney entered the competition with only three competitors left, with her first vault of 4.55. She missed 4.70 on her first attempt, but cleared it on the second, before failing to clear 4.75 and 4.80.
Canadian Alysha Newman set a new Commonwealth Games record of 4.75 to win the gold medal, and Australia's Nina Kennedy took the bronze.
New Zealand's Olivia McTaggart finished 9th.

New Zealand's Dame Valerie Adams has won silver in the women's shot put at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games with a throw of 18.70 metres.
Adams failed to defend her title from the 2014 Glasgow Games, with Jamaica's Danniel Thomas-Dodd taking gold with an impressive heave of 19.36 metres, a Jamaican national record.
33-year-old Adams was attempting to win her fourth straight Commonwealth Games gold medal.
The silver is still a remarkable effort given she gave birth to her first child just six months ago and has only recently returned to full training.
Adams throw was her season's best, in what is more than likely her last Commonwealth Games and potentially her last major international competition.
Jake Robertson finished fifth in the men's 10,000 metres at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in a national record time of 27 minutes and 30.90 seconds.
The gold was won by Uganda's Joshua Kiprui Cheptegei in a Games record time of 27 minutes and 19.62 seconds.

The New Zealand men's hockey team beat India 3-2 to advance to tomorrow night's gold medal match.
The Black Sticks men scored two goals in the first quarter, before India scored in the second period to cut New Zealand's lead to 2-1 at half-time.
The Black Sticks extended their advantage to 3-1 in the third quarter but India pulled one back in the final period to make for a nervy finish for the New Zealanders.
The Black Sticks will face hosts Australia in tomorrow's gold medal match.
Boxer David Nyika advanced to the final of the 91kg class with an unanimous points win over England's Cheavon Clarke in the semi finals.
He will fight Australian Jason Whately in the final tomorrow afternoon.
Alexis Pritchard lost her semi final fight in the 57 kilogramme division meaning she picks up a bronze medal. Troy Garton also won a bronze medal in the women's 60kg division. Patrick Mailata took a third boxing bronze in the +91kg division.

The top seeded squash doubles combination of Joelle King and Paul Coll were upset by India in the semfinals and will now contest the bronze medal playoff.
King will play again tomorrow in the women's doubles semi-finals, alonsgside Amanda Landers-Murphy.
The Tall Ferns will play Canada for a bronze medal, after losing to Australia in their semi-final, 109-50.
The Black Ferns have kicked off their Games campaign with a 45-0 win over Kenya and 41-0 win over South Africa.
New Zealand is now sixth on the medal table, behind Australia, England, India, Canada and South Africa.
