A woman is seriously ill in hospital after she was struck by a train while driving a tractor over a private railway crossing in the Manawatu District.
Police say the train and tractor collided about 11.10am on Sunday, near the town of Feilding.
The woman was taken to Palmerston North Hospital where her condition was initially listed as critical, but is now serious.
