Two people were pulled from the water in Wellington harbour on Sunday afternoon.
This followed a distress call from a four metre runabout which began taking on water between Seaview Marina and Matiu Somes Island.
Their vessel began sinking but was secured with a salvage line while partly submerged and taken in tow.
The pair were shaken but did not need medical attention.
