A labourer charged with the murder of a schoolgirl in her home in Christchurch last year, is to face trial.
Jeremy George Edward McLaughlin, 34, of Waltham, is charged with murdering Jade Louise Bayliss, 13, on 10 November and burgling and setting fire to the house where she lived.
He also faces an earlier charge of criminal harassment relating to the girl's mother.
Prosecution evidence was presented in January. The accused, who remains in custody, will reappear in the High Court in Christchurch on 25 May.
