More than 2000 two litre bottles disappeared from a delivery and storage company at Mount Maunganui during March and April.
Police say the thefts occured on three different nights, from distribution trucks at the company.
People who know the whereabouts of Peter Mark Gillard, 51, have been asked to contact the police, who say he is driving a white Honda Ascot saloon, and has associates in Auckland, Whangarei and Tauranga.
