Union worried about changes to postal services

The Engineering, Printing & Manufacturing Union is to meet New Zealand Post to discuss looming changes in the postal industry.

New Zealand Post is considering reducing the number of Postshops and mail delivery days because of an irreversible decline in its business.

The EPMU says more than 30 senior delegates will attend the meeting in Wellington this week to ensure members' rights and interests are recognised.

The union says it's aware that other postal organisations around the world are also experiencing big declines in mail volume and significant loss of revenue.
