An unidentified man sought in connection with a shooting at Whangaparaoa north of Auckland on Wednesday night is still at large.
Police say the man, armed with a sawn-off shotgun, entered a house by an unlocked door and shot an occpant in the hand and leg.
The wounded man did not require hospitalisation, but police say it was still a dangerous incident.
