Figures show 84% of New Zealand households have now switched to digital television.
By the end of next year, only a digital television signal will be available.
The Going Digital agency says any television can go digital with a set-top box and satellite dish or UHF aerial.
The agency says video or DVD recorders will also need to go digital if they are to continue receiving and recording images.
