Child Youth and Family is investigating the death of a 12-year old Auckland girl in its care.
CYF says the girl was found dead in a North Shore home and that her death is not suspicious.
The agency says it will be looking into whether it did everything possible to protect the child from harm.
The North Shore police say the death will be investigated by the coroner.
