Silver Ferns trounce Australia in second test

The Silver Ferns redeemed themselves in the second netball test against Australia at Vector Arena in Auckland on Saturday evening.

It was the lowest scoring game between the two sides since 1989.

The Ferns, led by captain Julie Seymour, dominated from the beginning.

Australia was a step behind for the entire match and the visitors were clearly disappointed with the 38-31 score line.

The Diamonds had trouble penetrating their own goal circle, mainly due to the superb defence of goalkeeper Casey Williams.

New Zealand's win sees the teams draw the two-test series, with Australia having won the previous match 53-51 in Christchurch last Wednesday.
