Two men have been rescued near Nelson after setting off an emergency beacon.
The Rescue Coordination Centre says the beacon went off about 4.15pm on Sunday.
It says a helicopter with a paramedic onboard located the men at about 5.15pm near Mount Owen at Granity Pass Hutt.
The centre says the men were flown to Nelson Hospital, with one receiving treatment for hypothermia after falling in a river.
