The Wellington rugby side has suffered its first loss of the national provincial competition beaten in the final round by Otago 36-21 at Carisbrook on Saturday.
The win has promoted Otago to tenth on the points table.
Top place finisher Wellington has completed the regular season on 44 points, two ahead of Canterbury.
Earlier on Saturday North Harbour toppled Counties-Manukau 57-28.
