Police investigating the violent death of a Paeroa man say they are continuing to treat two armed robberies, over which two men have been charged, as separate investigations.
The body of Jordan Voudouris was found in an alley in the town on 18 June.
A 19-year-old man from Rotorua and a 17-year-old from Mangakino have been charged with two counts each of assault with intent to rob.
The charges relate to the attempted robbery of a service station in Waihi and the aggravated robbery of a dairy in Katikati on 18 June.
The 19-year-old was arrested on Monday - he appeared in the Rotorua District Court on Wednesday and was remanded to reappear next week.
The 17-year-old was arrested on Tuesday and was remanded in custody until 17 July.
Detective senior sergeant Greg Turner of police in Tauranga says they will continue to treat the three incidents as separate investigations unless the time comes when the evidence tells them there is a definitive link.
