Police in Auckland have charged a 38-year-old man with murder after a body was found in Balmoral.
They say the 36-year-old's body was found at a property on Balmoral Road on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Noreen Hegarty says both men lived at the address, but it is unclear how well they knew each other.
She says a scene examination has begun and is expected to continue for some days.
Police are contacting the victim's next of kin.
The man charged will appear in Auckland District Court on Thursday.
