A Christchurch man who lured males for sexual grooming on the social networking site Facebook by posing as a young woman has been jailed.
Cameron Stuart Hore earlier pleaded guilty to 12 charges including blackmail, sexual grooming and sexual exploitation and obtaining by deception.
He was sentenced in the High Court at Christchurch on Wednesday to four years and one month in prison.
The 28-year-old, who is profoundly deaf, was arrested in September last year after police seized his computer following a complaint. They traced more than a dozen victims deceived by Hore.
Police say he posed as an attractive young woman to strike up online relationships with unsuspecting males.
