Two men wearing balaclavas and brandishing a gun invaded a house in Levin on Monday morning.
Police say they forced their way into Tainui Street home before 7am. No shots were fired, but there was a violent struggle as the men fought with those in the home before leaving.
One man was taken to Palmerston North hospital afterwards with an arm injury.
Police say the pair were not known to the occupants of the house.
