Wellington Hospital says the condition of a bus company director seriously injured when he was hit by one of his company's buses has improved.
NZ Bus director Tim Brown suffered head injuries and a punctured lung when he was hit near the corner of Willis and Mercer Streets on Thursday.
A hospital spokesperson say he is now in a serious but stable condition.
Mr Brown is the tenth person to be hit by a bus since Wellington City Council removed a central city pedestrian mall and re-routed traffic last year to try to make public transport more efficient.
