Hamilton City Council is planning a big celebration to welcome home its trans-Tasman champion netball side, Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic.
The Magic franchise is also in talks about organising an event.
A Hamilton City Council spokesperson says details are being finalised to celebrate the team's win over the Melbourne Vixens 41-38 on Sunday.
They are the first New Zealand team to win the title, in the fifth year of the competition.
