A Nelson man has died after timber fell on him at a sawmill.
Police say the 42 year old man, who was an employee of Waimea Sawmillers, died at 12.30pm on Wednesday.
The man had been working alone and the cause of the accident is not yet known.
Next of kin are being notified and the Department of Labour will investigate.
