A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for two men charged with murdering undercover police officer Don Wilkinson.
John Ward Skinner, 37, and Iain Lindsey Clegg, 34, are jointly charged with murdering Sergeant Wilkinson in South Auckland in September.
The 46-year-old was fitting a tracking device outside a home in the suburb of Mangere.
Both men are also charged with attempting to murder another officer who was with him.
Mr Skinner faces another charge of assault with a weapon.
The men, who remain in custody, appeared at a pre-depositions hearing at Manukau District Court on Wednesday. Another pre-trial hearing was set for 16 March.
