A 21-year-old US man has been killed in a quad bike accident on the Coromandel Peninsula.
Police say the Jeffery Frum from Newport Beach, California, died on Friday.
The couple Mr Frum had been staying with in Hahei found his body underneath an overturned quad bike on a private rural driveway.
His death has been referred to the coroner.
