A man has died following a car crash on the outskirts of New Plymouth on Wednesday morning.
Police say Edward Riddick, 85, was taken to hospital after his 6-wheeler Gator farm bike collided with a Subaru station wagon at about 9am.
He later died in hospital.
Senior sergeant Thomas McIntyre says the accident happened as the victim turned into Carrington Road on the corner of Atkinson Road.
He says police inquiries are continuing.
