Flu cases decline in Canterbury

Cases of the flu appear to be waning in Canterbury after the region was hit hard by what virologists are calling a particularly nasty, long-lasting flu virus.

Medical Officer of Health for Canterbury Alistair Humphrey says data show the region was hit by the H3N2 virus a week earlier than other regions, although cases are now declining.
