Three young children who were asleep inside a car that was stolen in West Auckland have been found safe and well.
Police say the car was taken from outside a house in Henderson late on Sunday night. The children - aged six, four and two - were sleeping inside it at the time.
Police say the car was found shortly after 1am on Monday at Parrs Park in Glen Eden with all three safely still inside.
They have been reunited with their parents.
