Police are seeking witnesses to two fatal accidents in Auckland.
An 86-year-old Mt Wellington woman died on Wednesday night after being hit by a car outside the Countdown supermarket on Penrose Road at about 1.30pm that afternoon.
Police would like to speak to the driver of a truck they say the woman walked in front of just before she was hit.
They would also like to hear from people about another accident on the road between Pokeno and the Bombay interchange, just north of State Highway 1 on Tuesday evening.
Graham Watson of Auckland died after driving into the back of a stationary truck, which police say had brake and hazard lights on.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who had contact with Mr Watson in the days before the accident.
