Toyota recall

11:50 am on 10 August 2012

Toyota is recalling three makes of cars as a faulty pipe could cause a fuel leak. Over 1200 cars are affected in New Zealand and over 66,500 in Australia.

Owners of the latest Camry, Camry Hybrid and Aurion are asked to return their cars to their nearest Toyota dealer to have them inspected.

Toyota says all three makes of vehicles went on sale in New Zealand at the start of the year and if owners smell fuel, they should stop driving immediately.

Customer service manager Spencer Morris says the fault occurred during the manufacturing process.
