A child has told a Wellington jury that she and her siblings watched adult videos while her parents and their friends held drinking sessions in the kitchen of her home.
The girl's parents and another man are on trial in the High Court in Wellington on a number of charges, including sexual and physical abuse.
The Crown says the accused would spend all day drinking and left the eight children in the household to their own devices, except when they were physically or sexually abused.
In cross-examination on Friday, a girl whose name is suppressed, told the Court she found the adult videos in a garage and watched them with her siblings.
She said when her parents and their friends were having drinking sessions, the children were told to go away and entertain themselves.
A fourth accused was discharged by the judge on Thursday due to a lack of evidence.
