Brewers and beer lovers have poured into Wellington for a two-day festival featuring 271 beers from 96 breweries throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Tasting, live brewing and food and beer matchers were all part of the festivities for guests, who ranged from home brewing amateurs to simple beer lovers.
Other sessions on Friday night include the history of beer, women and beer, as well as discussions on cheese and beer matching.
The Brewers Guild of New Zealand also presented its annual awards, including the Champion Brewery prize which was won by Harrington's Breweries from Christchurch.
The festival finishes on Saturday night.
