Auckland police investigating the suspicious death of a man in Ramarama say he was stabbed.

David Cunningham died following an altercation at a rural property on Ararimu Road on Monday morning.
Police say Mr Cunningham was not known to anyone else at the address and are focusing on what he was doing at the property and how he got there.
They say others there are helping with inquiries and no one else is being sought in relation to the death.
Detective Inspector Dave Lynch says Mr Cunningham had been at his home in Drury about 10pm on Sunday and was possibly hitchhiking before he arrived in Ramarama.
Police want to hear from anyone who has any information regarding his movements that night.
