Drugs arrests in Bay of Plenty

A series of drugs raids resulted in 18 arrests in Bay of Plenty on Wednesday.

About 40 police, including armed officers and police dogs, executed 17 search warrants in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui and Te Puke.

Police say about 15 grams of methamphetamine were found at a Tauranga address, and a stolen outboard motor, cannabis and cannabis plants were found at other locations.

Those arrested now face charges including possession and supply of Class A and C drugs, cultivating cannabis, possession of drug utensils, receiving stolen property and breaching court bail.
