All Black officials mugged in Argentina

Two senior New Zealand rugby officials have been mugged outside the All Blacks hotel in Argentina.

The Rugby Union says its chair, Mike Eagle, and board director Gerard van Tilborg were accosted on Sunday by assailants on motorcycles outside the hotel in Buenos Aires.

The NZRU says the muggers took a Rolex watch from van Tilborg but nothing from Eagle.

Neither man was hurt in the incident.

The team had been getting ready to leave the hotel for the airport following the All Blacks 54-15 win over Argentina on Saturday.

Van Tilborg is travelling with the All Blacks to Johannesburg ahead of this weekend's Rugby Championship match against the Springboks while Eagle is returning to New Zealand.

The mugging was reported to police.
