Six men charged with manslaughter in Tonga over the killing of a New Zealand police officer, Kali Fungavaka, are to appear in court again on 2 November.
An administrative magistrates' court hearing for the six - five of whom are police officers - wa sheld in Nuku-alofa on Monday.
Tonga's solicitor-general, Aminiasi Kefu, says that at the November hearing the accused can choose to have a deposition hearing or go directly to trial in the Supreme Court.
All the defendants remain on bail.
