A homicide investigation has begun after a man was found dead in a sleepout at a property in Great South Road, Manurewa, on Friday morning.
The police said on Saturday that a post-mortem examination had confirmed the 55-year-old was probably attacked in the converted garage where he lived, and sustained fatal head injuries.
The property is near the intersection of Weymouth and Alfriston roads and information is sought from anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious.
