One person is dead after a vehicle rolled on Old North Road in Kumeu, west of Auckland at about 10.30am on Saturday.
The dead person is the 43-year-old male driver. No other vehicle was involved.
Police would like to contact anyone who witnessed the crash.
The crash brings the holiday road toll to eight fatalities.
