Organisers will spend $6.6 million to upgrade Pukekohe for a return of the Australian V8 Supercars next year.
Pukekohe is confirmed for the fourth round of the championship on 12 to 14 April.
Modifications to the Pukekohe circuit will include three new corners built near the end of the back straight.
The event was last held in Pukekohe in 2007 before it moved to Hamilton.
Promoters say work will begin in November on the upgrade to bring the circuit up to international standard with improved safety and corporate facilities.
