The Labour Weekend road toll was seven deaths. The toll is one fewer than last year.
No deaths have been reported since Saturday. The official holiday period ended at 6am on Tuesday.
Superindent Carey Griffiths told Morning Report that alcohol, speed and failing to wear a seat belt were all factors.
