A 15-year-old has been charged with the murder of a man in the Auckland suburb of Mount Wellington.
Tamati Tupe, 23, was found dead on Hillside Road on 30 September this year.
Police were alerted to the death after someone called them anonymously from a phone box.
Detective Inspector Dave Lynch says a 15-year-old boy will appear in the Manukau Youth Court on Friday charged with murder.
He says the investigation is continuing and more charges could be laid.
Earlier in the inquiry police said up to six people were believed to have known about the death.
