Customs is warning of a potential scam in which the person falsely claims to be a customs officer.
It says a member of the public has reported a call from a person claiming to be calling from the Customhouse.
The person asked for personal details and a transfer of funds to India via Western Union.
Customs says the relevant authorities have been notified and the report is being investigated.
It says any request for money by such a caller should be ignored.
