BP and Mobil have raised petrol prices in New Zealand by 5 cents a litre.

BP said on Thursday continued increases in the international cost of refined petrol are driving recent rises, as well as a weak New Zealand dollar.

The retail price of unleaded 91 is now $1.52.9 a litre, while 95 octane $1.58.9 per litre.

Shell, Caltex and Gull have not raised their prices yet, but say they are reviewing the situation.
