Teachers consider 2.6% pay offer

Secondary school teachers are considering a pay deal that will give them a pay increase of 2.66% spread over 30 months.

The Post Primary Teachers Association says it consulted its members on the deal last week and will now put it to a ratification vote.

The union says the deal was put to members after the Ministry of Education removed attempts to change conditions in the secondary teachers collective agreement.

The current agreement expires in January.
