Police have charged a Chinese tourist in connection with the deaths of two motorcyclists on the Lindis Pass.
Grant John Roberts, 43, of Timaru and 54-year-old Dennis Michael Pederson from Tauranga died and a female pillion passenger remains in a critical condition in Dunedin Hospital after colliding with a car in the North Otago pass on Monday.
Senior Sergeant Ian Kerrisk says a 20-year-old Chinese national has been charged with careless driving causing death.
She was expected to appear at the Alexandra District Court on Tuesday.
