Organisers of an annual multi-cultural festival at Aranui are hoping up to 5000 people will attend to support one of Christchurch's hardest-hit earthquake areas.
The Affirm festival is on Saturday at Wainoni Park.
Organiser Rachael Fonotia said performances by Aranui Primary, Avondale, St James and Wainoni Schools will be significant as many people in the community feel it could be the last time they perform at the festival.
