Principal and trustees reach agreement

The principal of Christchurch Girls High and the school's board of trustees have reached a confidential agreement to resolve their differences.

The board dismissed Prue Taylor from her role as principal last month, but she was granted interim reinstatement after she took her case to the Employment Relations Authority.

In a written statement on Wednesday evening, board spokesperson Tim Priddy says the parties have reached an agreement about Ms Taylor's return to the role of principal, and the resolution of all matters between them.

He says in reaching this agreement, they have focused on what is in the best interests of the school and the girls in particular.
