Care on the roads advised

10:04 am on 24 December 2012

Police advise motorists to be patient and cautious while driving on the roads these holidays. So far this year, there are 25 more deaths than last year.

Superintendent Carey Griffiths said there are the same problems every year.

He told Morning Report that poor judgment, impatient drivers and alcohol are the causes of road accidents and urges drivers to pay attention on the road and avoid distractions.

The official holiday road toll is from 4pm on Monday until 7 January.
