Two mountain bikers who went missing overnight near Upper Hutt have been found safe.
The two men, one aged 50 and the other 23, were reported missing just before 8pm on Wednesday night.
A team on foot and other searchers in a four wheel drive were looking for the men on the Karapoti Trail.
Police say they got lost while riding in bush but found their way out by themselves on Thursday morning. They were not injured.
