6-year-old still critical after quad bike crash

A six-year-old girl injured in a quad bike crash remains in a critical condition Auckland's Starship Hospital.

The girl was hurt, along with four adults, when the quad bike they were riding veered off a bank and rolled at Waimarama on the Hawke's Bay coast on Wednesday.

Police have said all four adults were intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The child's father remains in Auckland's Middlemore Hospital in a stable condition.

Her step-mother, and one other adult have been discharged from Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital, but one other adult, a 20-year-old man, remains there in a stable condition.
