A Nelson man has been airlifted to hospital with multiple serious injuries after a heavy forestry vehicle he was operating rolled down a 50 metre drop.
The Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter says the 47-year-old lost control of the log skidder near Canvastown on Tuesday afternoon.
The rescue helicopter was able to land at the logging site and the crew treated the man, before he was flown to Nelson Hospital.
