A joint investigation by police and the Fire Service has begun to establish what caused a fire at a Hamilton house.
The property in Frankton was seriously damaged overnight on Sunday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Nigel Keall says it is not known what started the fire, but the circumstances are cause for concern.
A scene examination is continuing.
